Formatting in Dreamweaver is similar to using a standard word processor. You can change the font, size, color, and alignment of selected text using commands on the Text menu or the options on the Property inspector. (If the Property inspector is closed, choose Window > Properties.)
For 4.0 or later browsers, use style sheets to automate the formatting of documents. (Changing fonts or colors overrides the style sheet formatting.) See Style sheets overview.
You can change the appearance of text in an HTML document in the following ways:

Apply an HTML tag such as Heading 1 to text. All popular web browsers support these HTML styles. |

Change the font and font characteristics from the HTML tag's default. If the browser cannot find the specified font, it will substitute the next font in the combination. |
